Nathan's expertise was further refined through his tenure at New York City's Classic Sound, where he assisted in the mastering of hundreds of albums for industry heavyweights like John Mayer, Anoushka Shankar, Garbage, Dave Douglas, and the Gypsy Kings. He went on to join The Hit Factory Mastering Studios and master music for acts such as The Bravery, Charlie Hunter, and The Fray, establishing a deep connection with the regional New York City music scene.
